Feeling good about how we feed our babies

Too often we blame our bodies, or our babies.

When we tell our feeding stories it comes naturally to tell what happened to us and how we decided to respond.

If breastfeeding doesn’t work out, we say things like, ‘I tried everything, but she wouldn’t latch’ or, ‘My nipples were sore and cracked, I had to stop’ or ‘My baby was too hungry and couldn’t get enough milk’.

Let’s think about …

Of course, some women have medical conditions that mean they cannot breastfeed.

And some simply don’t want to breastfeed. (And should not feel guilty for this.)

But for many others there is a lot more to the story…
